Introduction
Initially created by Euromut, the mutual insurance company of the Union Nationale des Mutualités Libres (MLOZ), the asbl Benevita was taken up under the umbrella of the MLOZ at the beginning of 2007. Its missions, formerly based on the provision of medical content addressed to the general public, have been re-defined and re-centred.
Henceforth, the mission of Benevita is to put forward research projects in the interest of mutual insurances of the Union Nationale des Mutualités Libres (MLOZ) so that they can offer new services to their members. The Benevita projects are also targeted to health professionals.
As a laboratory, Benevita sets up and tests prototypes for subsequent transfer and implementation in the mutual insurances of the MLOZ, to the benefit of their members.

D. Dieng, Project Manager – e-health
Dominique Dieng has a multi-disciplinary background.
Graduate of the University of Lille (France), she holds a Master’s degree in Business Law, specialising in Management Control and a DESS in management.
Her professional career started in the business world where she occupies consultancy posts in marketing and market research (with a small detour via the medical delegation). In 1994, she entered the world of research (Faculties of Namur) where she analysed the sociological impact of Information and Communication Technologies on organisations (e-government, e-health). In the field of e-health, she has particularly taken part in projects concerning health cards (Hemacard, EUROCARD European project), emergencies (ARTHUR), and telemedicine. She has also been a member of the Commission entitled “Belgian Healthcare Telematics Commission” of the SPF Santé publique, Sécurité de la Chaîne Alimentaire et Environnement {SPF Public Health, Security of the Food Chain and the Environment}. Then, having acted as interface between the world of research and companies of the IT sector, within the framework of her role as communication Manager at INFOPOLE Cluster TIC, she joined Benevita in February 2007 as Project Manager, to take on the challenge of setting up e-health projects.
